Sony Entertainment Television is coming up with a brand new period drama titled “Punyashlok Ahilyabai” which is based on the iconic story of the legendary Ahilyabai Holkar, who managed to defy all odds and battle against all societal norms in the 18th century with the support of her father-in-law ‘Malhar Rao’. Rajesh Shringapore who plays the prominent role of “Malhar Rao” for the period drama recently disclosed his training regime for the role. He said, “I have previously played challenging roles like this but to perfect my character and delve deeper, I underwent a one-month training in horse riding and sword fighting for it. The training majorly polished my skills and helped me further improve my skills in horse riding and sword fighting. Needless to say, have to convey a heartfelt gratitude to all my tutors and action directors for their expert guidance and support. Now, I feel confident to portray this role with my best foot forward.”
