In August it had been reported that Vivek Oberoi was making a film on the Balakot airstrikes led by the Indian Air Force in February 2019. Oberoi’s team had said that the actor was planning the film as a trilingual to be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu that will depict the “true facts, story and bravery of the Indian Air Force and their quick thinking, strategic planning with a strong political willingness.”
In February 2019, Indian Air Force had conducted an airstrike in Balakot, Pakistan, just two weeks after a CRPF convoy collided with a car full of explosives in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama. 40 CRPF soldiers were lost in the attack. The Indian government claimed that a Jaish-e-Mohammad terror facility had been targeted in Balakot.
