Shehzada is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action-drama film that serves as a remake of the 2020 Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. It is directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by T-Series Films, Haarika & Hassine Creations, Geetha Arts and Brat Films. It stars Kartik Aaryan, who also co-produced the film, alongside Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Rajpal Yadav, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar.
Principal photography commenced in October 2021 and ended in January 2023. The film was shot extensively in Mumbai, Delhi and Mauritius. The film score and soundtrack album are composed by Pritam. Initially scheduled for theatrical release on 10 February 2023, Shehzada will release a week later on 17 February, due to the success of Pathaan.
It was recently reported that Kartik Aaryan decided to postpone the release of his upcoming film Shehzada out of respect for Shah Rukh Khan and his film Pathaan. And if the latest report has to be believed, the actor has now decided to pay a heartfelt tribute to Salman Khan with Character Dheela Hai 2.0.
According to the reports, Kartik and the film’s director Rohit Dhawan have locked the idea of recreating Character Dheela Hai from Salman Khan starrer Ready. The two believe that since Shehzada is also a complete family entertainer like Ready, they decided to surprise fans with a new song.
It is being said that much like the title track of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Kartik and choreographer Bosco will be revamping the Character Dheela Hai song for Shehzada. The song is expected to amplify the buzz around the movie and increase the footfalls into theatres.
A couple of days ago, Kartik was seen dancing with Aamir Khan on Tune Maari Entriyaan at an event. The two were seen in black outfits and appeared to have a great time together.
On the work front, Kartik is gearing up for his upcoming action entertainer film Shehzada, the release date of which was recently pushed by a week in the wake of the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan euphoria. It will hit the theatres on February 17.
