Bhushan Kumar on Pathan, Ranbir Kapoor on never doing a Rom-Com again’

Pathan is set to release tomorrow and it’s advance booking has been breaking the records.

Recently, Bhushan Kumar gave his judgement on it. He said,” Absolutely Pathan is carrying very good reports and the advance booking as well. The more films get hit, the more better it is for our industry.”

He spoke on people’s excitement over “Tu Jhoothi Mein Makkar”,”This film is totally musical and there’re many songs in it as well. So I it’s a re-start for Bollywood in 2023.”

Ranbir Kapoor spoke on him being thirst trap in this film.He said,” It’s because of the genre of the film. In this kind of films you have to look good and try and look younger also. But you’ve to work hard. I think Shraddha and I and everyone in this film really believed in the entertainment quotient that this film is delivering. So we were inspired amd we all wanted to give our best.”

Ranbir Spoke on the lethal combination that this movie has of her and Shraddha,” When I saw PKP2, first time ever I called a director and said I would love to collaborate with you. So together we had discussed many ideas and we had also discussed a film as well.”

He added,” Then few months later Luv came and narrated the idea to me. Then we became very good friends and we started discussing lot of ideas and we’re very like minded also.”

He said,” The idea of Jhooth and Makkar that he brought it had lot of love, warmth and family entertainment. So There’re very few filmmakers who make such movies. So I was very eager to be part of this film.”

He even talked about not doing such Romance-comedy post YJHD. He said,” Because it’s very difficult to make such films . You can make Rom-com but it gets westernised. You go New York or London and feel that a Rom-Com is being made. But actually Rom-Com is in the writing and I think Luv and Rahul both are extremely fine writers and a very good dialogue writers. It was truly a memorable experience and I am really grateful that I got to be a part of this film.”

He was asked on his statement that this would be last Rom-Com. He said,” I have done a lot of films in this genre like Bachna-E-Hasino, Ajab Prem ki Jazab Kahani, Yeh Jawani hai diwani, Anjana Anjani, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Sometimes what happens is as actors you have very limited faces and a personality and you run out of them. So it’s very hard and I think a Rom-Com genre is the hardest genre.”
